Billing Policy
- This practice has a mixed billing policy
- Concession card holders and children under the age of 16 are bulk billed
- A fee is payable by non-concession card holders – reception can assist you in claiming back your Medicare rebate, an out of pocket cost will apply
- Minor surgical procedures will incur an minimum out of pocket cost of $120
- Travel & Flu vaccines will incur a private fee for the purchase of the vaccine as they are not covered by Medicare
- Patients with no Medicare card will need to pay the full private fees based on the length of the consultation
- WorkCover and TAC patients will be required to pay for consultations at time of the appointment. A receipt will be issued for patients to claim reimbursement from WorkcCover/TAC directly.
- It is the practice policy that patients booking Telephone/Telehealth consultations need to have seen a GP face-to-face at South Wangaratta Medical Centre within the previous 6 month period.
- Telephone consults are subject to standard billing
