  • Bulk Billing will be available for all pensioners, health care card holders and children under 16
  • All other patients are required to pay a $28.00 gap
  • We do charge a "no show" fee of $30.00 which must be paid before you book another appointment
  • Minor surgical procedures may also attract a gap, which will be discussed with you before your procedure
  • Skin checks have a gap of $40.00
  • Patients attending for Workcover, TAC, employment medicals, insurance medicals etc. must bring evidence of an accepted claim from their insurer, or pay privately at the time of their appointment
  • Fees are payable at the time of consultation and can be paid by cash, EFT or credit card
  • Your doctor will of course explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to any treatment received

Staff

Dr Fidge is our practice principal for both Docker Street and South Wangaratta Medical Clinics. After working as a pharmacist for 10 years, Dr Fidge went on to study a Bachelor of medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 2000 at the University of Queensland.

Dr Fidge opened his first practice at Docker Street in Wangaratta in 2009. He then saw the need in the community and went on to build a brand new, purpose-built practice in Wangaratta South in 2016.

In his spare time Dr Fidge likes to watch movies, go horse riding and to maintain his farm.

Dr Weerasinghe moved to the North East with his family in 2017 and has settled in well with the Wangaratta community. Before Dr Weerasinghe joined our family practice, he studied medicine in Sri Lanka at the University of Peradeniya Faculty of Medicine and graduated in 2007. He is fluent in both English and Sinhalese and has a special interest in travel medicine.

Dr Weerasinghe enjoys spending his spare time with his family .

Dr Weerasinghe works out of our South Wangaratta Clinic 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and works alternating weekends at our Docker Street clinic, mostly Saturdays.

Dr Palliyaguru is our clinics female doctor, who has special interest and experience in Women's Health. Other areas of interest include Antenatal Care and Paediatrics. Dr Palliyaguru studied medicine in Sri Lanka at the University or Ruhuna where she graduated in 1997. She is fluent in English and Sinhalese. In her spare time Dr Palliyaguru enjoys bush walking, charity work and meditation.   Dr Palliyaguru works out of our South Wangaratta Clinic 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and works alternating weekends at Docker Street, mostly Saturdays.

Dr Abeyawardana moved to the North East with his family in 2017. He and his family are enjoying the lifestyle that the North East of Victoria provides. Dr Abeyawardana studied medicine in Pakistan at the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, where he graduated in 2000. He speaks several languages including : English, French, German, Sinhalese, Tamil and Urdu.

Dr Abeyawardana's hobbies include playing cricket and travelling.

Dr Arbewardana works out of our South Wangaratta Clinic 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and works alternating weekends at Docker Street, mostly Saturdays.

Dr  Jasmine Yin  has recently moved to Wangaratta and started practicing in our South Wangaratta Medical Centre. She studied medicine in China at Zhejiang University and obtained her MBBS in 2010 and Masters Degree of Clinical Medicine-Surgical Stream in 2012. Dr Jasmine Yin had extensive training in surgery. She is fluent in both English and Chinese, and LGBTIQ friendly.

Dr Jasmine Yin enjoys spending her spare time sleeping, studying and online shopping.

Dr Jasmine Yin currently works out of our South Wangaratta Medical Centre 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday except for Thursday mornings.
